Burnley V Watford Mach Preview
Watford travel to Turf Moor tomorrow to play Burnley in the Sky Bet Championship with the Hornets looking to get rid of their bad run of form which has seen them without a victory in six games. Burnley currently lie in second place in the table whilst the Hornets lie in 10th 5 points from the play off and 5 points from 21st. The two matches last season between these two sides ended in a draw. In December at Turf Moor, the match finished 1-1 thanks to goals from Charlie Austin and Nathaniel Chalobah whilst at Vicarage Road on Good Friday, the match ended 3-3 thanks to a last gasp goal from Sam Vokes after a mistake by Watford defender Matthew Briggs. Burnley are managed by former Watford boss and player Sean Dyche. Dyche took over at Watford before the 2011/12 season started after the depature of Malky Mackay. The 2011/12 season was to be Dyche's only season in charge and he guided the Hornets to 11th place. He was sacked at the end of the season due to the Pozzos takeover and was replaced by Gianfranco Zola. Dyche took over at Burnley in the early stages of the 2012/13 season after Eddie Howe decided to leave and take the Bounremouth job. Burnley have been in blistering form since the start of the season and have only been defeated twice both coming away from home. Their good form has mainly be down to the strong partnership between strikers Danny Ings and Sam Vokes who have scored or assisted 22 of Burnleys 29 goals this season. The Clarets were feared for at the start of the season after the departure of last seasons top scorer Charlie Austin but these fears have been washed away. It looks set to be a tough game for the Hornets tomorrow.
