Leicester City vs Watford Match Preview.
Watford travel to the King Power Stadium on Saturday in the Barclays Premier League, to face Claudio Ranieri's Leicester City, with the Hornets looking to build on their impressive victories over Stoke and West Ham.
Back-to-back victories in recent weeks has propelled Quique Sanchez Flores' men to eleventh position in the table and a victory over Leicester City would mean that it would be the first time that the Hornets have registered three successive top-flight victories since April 1987.
Saturday's opponents Leicester have started the season in blistering form, having only lost one of their first eleven games. Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez have been in scintillating form and the duo have helped guide the Foxes to third place in the table.
Claudio Ranieri is the manager up at the King Power Stadium and he has done a superb job so far since taking over from Nigel Pearson in the summer. Many were sceptical of the former Chelsea boss's appointment, with some predicting a tough season ahead for the Foxes.
However, Leicester have defied all the pre-season scepticism, registering six wins and four draws from their opening eleven games, which has left them sitting in third position in the table, just three points off leaders, Manchester City.
Striker Jamie Vardy and midfielder Riyad Mahrez, have been in superb form so far this season and the dynamic duo have been key to Leicester's impressive start to the season.
England international Vardy, is a real rag's to riches story, having gone from playing with Stocksbridge Park Steels in Non-League, to plying his trade in England's top division in the space of six years.
His form this season has been nothing short of superb, having notched eleven goals and he has scored eight in as many Premier League appearances.
Algerian international Mahrez has also been key to Leicester's success. The 24-year-old has seven goals in ten appearances so far and his performances have earnt him a number of plaudits.
Saturday's game against the Foxes will be another tough fixture for the Hornets, considering Claudio Ranieri's men's form. However, the Italian's side have showcased that they have a rather leaky defence, having only kept one clean sheet so far this season and if the Hornets can score first and keep it tight at the back, then they stand a great chance of making it three successive Premier League wins.
The key on Saturday, will be keeping Vardy and Mahrez under close attention. If the Watford players can do this, then the Hornets stand a great chance of bringing the three points back to Vicarage Road.
Team News.
For Leicester City, Claudio Ranieri has no injury concerns. Jamie Vardy has been passed fit, after having trouble with an Achilles problem.
For Watford, the Hornets have been boosted with the news that Odion Ighalo is fit enough to play, after limping off in last weekend's 2-0 win over West Ham with a dead leg. Jose Manuel Jurado misses out once again, whilst Joel Ekstrand and Tommie Hoban are long-term absentees.
