Referee for Swansea game announced.
The referee for Monday night's match against Swansea, which will be televised on Sky Sports, has been announced by the Premier League.
Michael Oliver from Northumberland is set to be the man-in-the-middle for the fixture at the Liberty Stadium and this will be his second Watford match of the season.
Oliver has already officiated the Hornets once this season, which came during the draw with Bournemouth in October. On that day he awarded a controversial penalty to the Cherries, after he deemed Etienne Capoue fouled Adam Smith in the area.
Luckily for the Golden Boys Heurelho Gomes saved the resultant spot kick from Glenn Murray, preserving a point for Quique Sanchez Flores' men.
The Northumberland based referee has been part of the Select Group list of referees, who take charge of Premier League matches, since 2010. In that time, he has officiated over 100 fixtures in the top flight.
This season Oliver has refereed 17 matches in all competitions and has handed out 60 yellow cards and 5 red.
