Referee for Swansea game confirmed

19/10/2016 11:27

The referee for this weekend's fixture against Swansea City has been announced by the Premier League.

Walter Mazzarri's men will travel to the Liberty Stadium to face Bob Bradley's team and Saturday's game will be refereed by Paul Tierney from Lancashire.

Tierney is a relatively new top-flight referee having been promoted to the select group list of officials, who take charge of matches in the Premier League, ahead of this season.

The Lancashire official took charge of the Golden Boys once last season, which came in the stalemate between Watford and West Bromwich Albion at Vicarage Road in August 2015.

This season, Tierney has taken charge of nine matches in all competitions, one of which coming in the Premier League, with the Lancashire official handing out 33 yellow cards and one red.
