Referees for Everton and Manchester City matches confirmed
The referees for Watford's upcoming fixtures against Everton and Manchester City have been announced by the Premier League.
For this weekend's game against Everton at Vicarage Road, which will be televised on Sky Sports, Anthony Taylor from Cheshire will be the man-in-the-middle.
This will be Taylor's first Watford match of the season, having taken charge of the Golden Boys five times last term. He oversaw Watford's defeats to Crystal Palace (H), Tottenham Hotspur (H) and Arsenal last season, and he was also the man-in-the-middle for the Hornets' goalless draw with Bournemouth and the Golden Boys' victory over Aston Villa in April.
Taylor is a relatively experienced top-flight official, having taken charge of matches in the Premier League since 2010.
This season, Taylor has refereed 16 games in all competitions, handing out 53 yellow cards and 2 red.
After Saturday's game against Everton, Watford will then make the trip up to the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night, where they will face Pep Guardiola's Manchester City and Kevin Friend will be the referee for that match.
Friend has refereed the Hornets once this season, which came in the Hornets' 3-1 defeat to Arsenal back in August at Vicarage Road.
The Leicestershire official is also a relatively experienced referee, having taken charge of matches in the top-flight since 2009.
This season, Friend has refereed 12 games in all competitions, handing out 55 yellow cards and 0 red.
