Referees for next two matches announced.
The referee for the next two matches against Manchester City and Nottingham Forest have been announced. For this weekends FA cup fourth round match away to Manchester City, the referee will be premier league official Kevin Friend. The premier league official last refereed the Hornets back in the 2010/11 season when he officiated the 2-2 draw with Preston North End. Friend has refereed 17 matches this season ( 10 of which in the premiership) and has handed out 53 yellow cards and one red as well as 8 penalties.
The referee for next Thursdays Sky Bet Championship fixture away to Nottingham Forest which will be televised on Sky Sports will be Wiltshire official Simon Hooper. Hooper last refereed the Hornets back in the 2011/12 season when he officiated the Hornets 2-1 win over Middlesbrough on the final day of the season. He has refereed 21 matches this season ( 9 of which in the championship) and has handed out 78 yellow cards and 2 red as well as 6 penalties. For the full appointments please see below:
