Republic Of Ireland International Joins Watford
Republic of Ireland international, Keith Andrews, signed for Watford this week on a season-long-loan from Bolton Wanderers.
The 33 year old defensive midfielder was seen as surplus to requirements at Bolton having spent last season on loan at Brighton, and has put pen to paper on a season long loan with the Hornets.
As part of the loan agreement, Andrews will be unable to play against his parent club.
The Republic Of Ireland international, started his career at Wolves where he made 42 appearances during a six year spell at the club. During his time with the club, Andrews spent time on loan at Oxford, Stoke and Walsall.
He then joined Hull City in 2005 but after one season at the club he joined MK Dons on a free transfer.
His time at Stadium MK was where Andrews made his name scoring 18 goals in 80 appearances.
With a host of Premier League and Championship clubs interested in Andrews services after his impressive performances, the 33 year old joined Blackburn Rovers where he made 76 appearances scoring 5 goals.
He joined Ipswich Town on loan in August 2011 and impressed hugely scoring nine goals in 20 appearances.
His form with The Tractor Boys persuaded West Brom to sign him on a six month deal. Despite impressing for the Baggies, Andrews was released at the end of the season.
He then joined Bolton in the summer of 2012. During his first season with the club, Andrews was a first team regular. However, the following summer, Andrews was told by Dougie Freedman that he was not in his plans at Andrews spent last season on loan at Brighton and Hove Albion.
Andrews was a first team regular last season for the Seagulls and helped the side snatch a Play Off place. He made 35 appearances for Brighton last season scoring once.
The 33 year old currently has 35 caps to date for Republic of Ireland and the Hornets have wasted no time in securing the Defensive midfielder on a season long loan.
With a wealth of experience and a proven track record, Andrews could prove to be an excellent signing for the Golden Boys.
