Richarlison signs for Watford: Just how good can he be?

Watford have made their fifth signing of the summer transfer window, with Fluminense winger Richarlison joining the club on a five-year-deal.
The Hornets have reportedly paid a fee of around £11m for the winger, who moves to Vicarage Road after being granted a work permit.
Richarlison has been heavily linked with Watford recently, with reports last week claiming that the Hornets had agreed a fee for the winger, subject to him being granted a work permit. The 19-year-old was at Saturday's friendly with Real Sociedad at Vicarage Road and could now make his debut against Liverpool this weekend, having been granted a work permit.
The 19-year-old is a talented young player and has been touted as one of Brazil's brightest young prospects, with his form seeing him linked with the likes of AC Milan, Chelsea and Ajax among others.
The young Brazilian is a winger who is two footed, but he is most comfortable out on the left hand side. He can, however, play on either flank and he will be familiar with Marco Silva's 4-2-3-1 formation, given that this was the system which Fluminense used.
He came through the ranks at America Mineiro and has also scored three times in 10 appearances for Brazil's U20s.
To find out more about Watford's latest signing, I spoke to Fluminense fan Daniel Burman. This is what he had to say:
The Watford Blog: There's been conflicting reports in England about Richarlison's best position. Some say he's a striker, some say he's a winger. So where is his best position?
Daniel Burman: "Richarlison is a winger. His manager at Fluminense tested him sometimes as a striker, but it didn't go too well. All of his best games happened when he played as a winger."
TWB - What are his main strengths? Any weaknesses?
Daniel Burman: "He is very fast and strong. He was the strongest winger, in terms of fitness, in Brazil and he is only 19 years old. He is good at winning plays by his speed. In terms of his weaknesses, he has problems with his final touch sometimes but he was improving every game with Fluminense."
TWB- He scored 19 goals in 67 games for Fluminense. How important has he been for you and are you sad to see him go?
Daniel Burman: "Richarlison was a key player for Fluminense. Weeks ago, a club in Brazil (Palmeiras) asked to buy him, so he asked not to be played in the game against that club. Flu fans became angry with him. When the offer was refused, Richarlison returned and played with the same dedication as always and that is one of his strongest strengths too. So the Fluminense crowd will miss him a lot. He was playing as a left winger for us.
TWB - Big clubs like AC Milan and Chelsea have been linked with him. Just how good can Richarlison be?
Daniel Burman- "Richarlison is much better than Kenedy, our last winger that was signed by an English club (Chelsea). He has all that it takes to be a success in the Premier League.
TWB- Watford look set to play a 4-2-3-1 formation in the Premier League this season. Where could you see him fitting into that formation?
Daniel Burman - "It was the same formation that he played at Fluminense. He can play as either a left or right winger. I prefer him playing on the left though, as that is the position that he can cut into the middle and cause problems. I think he can form a great partnership with Deeney and another winger.
TWB - Do you think he can be a success in the Premier League?
Daniel Burman: "Of course. He reminds me a bit of Gareth Bale in terms of his strength and speed."
Thanks very much to Daniel for answering my questions! You can follow him on Twitter (@DKBurman) and if you've got any more questions, he'd be more than happy to answer them!
In the meantime, welcome to Watford, Richarlison!
